Hilary Clinton removed from situation room picture

I sometimes wish I have a subscription to some content on cable tv.

On those occasions, it’s usually due to the hilarious commentary by Steven Colbert on some current event.

My interest in what he has to say tends to be photography-related. (Not enough hours in the day to sit and sift through the other funny content, sorry Steven. I”m a fan nonetheless)

A Hasidic Jew newspaper in Brooklyn, N.Y removed Secretary of State Hilary Clinton from a picture that was recently in the news.

I promise it’s worth 3 mins of your time in your busy schedule.

No Harm, no foul?

I finally found an explanation from the newspaper “Di Tzeitung” official website that tries to explain what they did.

You guys buy it? Let me know under comments.

  1. DeeAnn,
I found the hyperlink to the newspaper in question and their apology. I added it to the end of my post. Thanks for chiming in. It’s been awfully quiet.

  2. Newspaper apologizied for altering photo.
I thought they could have put a pasted burka over Clinton until I read on the link Rabbinical ‘laws of modesty, does not allow for the publishing of photos of women’.
As Steven Colbert asked, what did this Orthodox newspaper do when Golda Meir was Prime Minister of Israel?
