If you haven’t taken a stroll through Riverside’s downtown pedestrian mall, this would be the best time of the year to do so.

During weekdays if you arrive before 5pm, just know you have to pay a dollar an hour.

The city’s parking enforcement folks do not cut you any slack, parking violation tickets are now $50.

Arrive Before Sunset

The area around the pedestrian mall gets crowded quickly especially on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Don’t be surprised if you don’t even have room to set up a tripod.

Also when you get here when it’s still light, you can get pictures of performers on the stage and also the skaters.

Don’t forget whenever photographing strangers in a public place, it’s best not to try and sneak pictures of them.

Make you intentions known. If they don’t want to be photographed, they’ll let you know by their facial expression and body language.

I hope you all have a great Christmas everyone. Don’t forget to make it a safe one.
