Guess my favorite picture
I have the brick wall till May 4.
Then it’s the turn for another artist during Riverside’s Art Walk which takes place on the 1st Thursday of every month.
For those of you who aren’t able to make it to see my work, here’s the next best thing.

Guess which is my favorite picture
I’ve only told 4 people which among the 21 images is my favorite.
Obviously they aren’t eligible to play.
Care to guess?
First correct guess gets a signed “11 x 14″ print.
Obviously, I haven’t thought this through carefully.
I’ll announce the winner on May 6th.
Your odds are pretty good I would say.
You only get one guess please.
So submit your guesses through the comments.
See the slideshow with music by clicking on the “play button” (right pointing arrow) below the images.
Any feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance.

I know I might mentioned what Ansel Adams said about how a photograph always has 2 people in it: the photographer and the viewer.
@Kathy, thank you also for playing. The boatman was taken off the coast of Borneo in the East Malaysian city of Kota Kinabalu (City of the Chinese Widow) when I went home for a visit in 2007.
The map below shows the approximate area where I took this picture give or take a few feet in the South China Sea. Thanks for playing and for your very kind words of encouragement.

@Tom Marek, the Aerial Acrobat is a 54″ x 36″ print. It’s the biggest print I’ve ever made of my work. The other giant is the photo of the groom kissing the bride on the balcony bathed in late evening light. Thankfully both held up well for JPEGs without the need for extrapolation software like Genuine Fractals. Thanks for playing.
@Michael Hayes, you’re scaring me with your recall. I have no recollection of ever mentioning those details. (in my most convincing voice)
@Lynne Friedman, I wondered about including the picture of the butterfly into the fray. It is odd, isn’t it? Odd enough, that perhaps I grabbed it off someone’s website? Thank you for guessing.
@Liz, aw shucks.. thanks. I’m willing to bet if you turn down the music on the slideshow, you won’t feel the same about the images. It’s a con job.
Bad musicians play louder to hide their mistakes. Digital photographers today can use music and other flashy animation to dazzle..
@Marv, the Guitar-playing cowboy was originally shot on Fujichrome 100 which I digitized with a scanner. It’s an old picture but I have kept it around because I’m fond of Westerns.
I love them all too!
Thanks for your kindness. The aerial acrobat was taken at UC Irvine when the university held a fundraiser. They built a giant white tent and hired professional acrobats

Light was marginal as I recalled, ISO 1600 1/500 @ f2.8 according to the metadata using a 200 mm lens. The picture is enlarged as is, full frame.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I am curious as to how and where you came across my blog. My work has another week’s stay on the wall, then it will be a memory.
I’ll have to hold off in announcing who got the first correct guess in, sorry.
That’s a pretty good guess BUT not the right one.
The winner of the this “contest” –the first to guess my favorite picture is Mike Hayes
Congratulations Mike. Let me know if you want me to mail the 11 x 14 to you, or you will pick it up in person when you make a trip out here.
Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting. I just learned something here about sheep, thanks to you. It was great to meet you yesterday. I’ll be writing a blog post about the lesson from yesterday soon.
