Our final assignment for the fall semester was a Black and White Portrait. My guidelines were for everyone to photograph 5 people and to only take these portraits as horizontals. The “Portrait” orientation or verticals isn’t the best choice because it locks photographers into just one option.
When a portrait is made as a horizontal, it gives us more options. It can be left as a horizontal or it can be cropped into a square or a vertical.
All these pictures were imported into Lightroom and edited only in Lightroom.
