Hadouken Photography

By the 2nd quarter of the year or the end of the fall semester, most of my Photo 1 students have finally got the hang of their Nikon D3300 DSLRs.

They shoot on the “Manual Exposure” mode from the very beginning. So most of them know how to ‘center’ the meter to get a good exposure.

It’s the editing part that still requires a little bit of nudging. We have only been using Lightroom so far.

Up till this point, all the assignments were geared towards them learning the various controls and how it affects their images.

Now the challenge to them was this: show me how creative you can get and more importantly have fun with it.

They were told to edit their pictures to make it as comic book drawing-like by playing with the various sliders in Lightroom.

The more adventurous were encouraged to use the Adjustment brush and to paint with colors and different edges.
