My Photo 2 students were in the midst of photographing a cast of 40 for El Modena High’s production of Little Mermaid when the Covid-19 virus disrupted schools throughout the state of California, the US and globally.
I never imagined I wouldn’t be able to get back to my classroom to grab all the pictures that we have so far.
Rest assured “Little Mermaid” cast members, the first chance I get, I will get those from my classroom and share those with all of you.
We got some wonderful portraits of everyone and we thank you all for your patience. Ms.Deborah Gillen, thanks again for helping us out by giving the opportunity to improve our portraiture skills.
The tricky part of this whole exercise was figuring out the logistics: where and which class period to set aside to photograph 40+ cast members.
For some of them, we had to use call slip to get permission and asked teachers to excuse them for about 20 minutes if it was convenient.
