Being asked to present means someone actually thinks our photography program at El Modena High is doing something exciting, something worthy of attention.
Photography in 2021’s Market
When the internet arrived and photography switched from film to digital, it altered still imagery in the most profound of ways.
Not only did it democratized this art form, it allowed the masses a way to express themselves as ‘artists’ like never before. Naturally all this was fueled by social media platforms like Instagram which enabled easy and almost instantaneous sharing.
The downside of it is how the art form is now viewed as simple and fast like cooking a meal in a microwave instead of slaving for hours creating a gourmet meal.
