Big news around the software behemoth Adobe. Those of you still subscribed will know I recently ditched my subscription to Adobe.
My reason was two or three fold: since I retired from teaching,
- I am no longer eligible for the educator discount
- I don’t exactly trust Adobe even if they claim they don’t use subscribers’ images to train their AI
- I no longer need to use this industry standard software
Earlier this month March 2026, Adobe settled a lawsuit filed by the Dept of Justice for a whopping $150million.
Their CEO Shantanu Narayen resigned a day after the settlement was announced.
